The company was founded in 1985 by the Mundhra family, originally from India, by four brothers — LaxmiNarayan, Noranglal, Jaikishan, and Sudhir Mundhra. The initial foray was into textile and silver production, with a small workshop and exports primarily focused on the United States market. In the early 1990s, an office was established in Los Angeles to bring the business closer to its American clients and shorten lines of communication.

As the business grew, the next generation became involved, and today over 25 family members are actively engaged across different stages of production and global exports. The consistent quality of the products earned a strong market response, and over time, exports into fashion items became the main focus. Clients came to include retail chains, jewellery makers, designers, and distributors across Europe.

At the time, designers and manufacturers in Europe were searching for high-quality products — leather cords, sterling silver beads, chains, and gemstones — with consistent supply at reasonable prices, and finding them was difficult. To meet this demand, the company opened its European office in the Netherlands in the early 2000s, dedicated to serving this growing market segment.

The idea was simple: ensure the best materials were available to designers and manufacturers around the world, so their ideas could be brought to life — consistently and reliably.

In the early years, both Haresh and Denish travelled extensively across Europe, meeting clients and attending trade shows. They built strong relationships with tanneries in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, growing from a small office in Almere into the large showroom that today houses one of the biggest collections of jewellery-making materials in Europe.
