What is stingray leather?
Stingray leather is an exotic leather made from the skin of the stingray, a by-product of the food industry primarily in Southeast Asia. It is notable for its naturally pebbled surface, exceptional durability (approximately 25 times more durable than cowhide), and the distinctive diamond-shaped white eye at the centre of each whole skin. Polished stingray leather is also known as shagreen and has been used in luxury goods and decorative applications for centuries.

What is the difference between caviar finish and polished (shagreen) finish?
Caviar finish stingray skins retain their natural bumps unaltered, giving a pronounced, tactile texture. Polished or shagreen finish skins have been sanded down to create a smoother surface that still shows the underlying pattern, but with a more refined, flat appearance. What size are the stingray skins?
