Sun Enterprises B.V. is based in Almere, the Netherlands, and has been active since 1985. We are the official European sales office for Supreme Industries Limited, one of India's largest polymer processors, founded in 1942 and operating across nine business divisions and more than thirty manufacturing plants.

SILPAULIN XF
Multi-layer cross-laminated polyethylene film, built for the outdoors
Silpaulin XF (also known as Rigidex-F) is a patented multi-layer cross-laminated polyethylene film developed in technical collaboration with Rasmussen Polymer Development AG in Switzerland. It is manufactured in India by the Supreme Industries XF Films division, which produces over 27,000 metric tonnes per year and supplies clients across Europe, the Pacific, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East.
In Europe, the material is most widely used as the base fabric for outdoor protective covers: garden furniture covers, BBQ covers, parasol and lounger covers, pool covers, and industrial tarpaulins. WHY IT OUTPERFORMS STANDARD TARPAULIN
The cross-lamination process layers polyethylene films at perpendicular angles and bonds them with a cold-roll technique. The result is a material that is stronger, lighter, more flexible, and more tear-resistant than conventional plastic films of comparable weight.

CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING
Silpaulin XF is manufactured in accordance with Indian Standard IS 14611 for multilayered cross-laminated sheets and covers. Outdoor weathering performance has been independently tested by TUV Rheinland (LGA QualiTest GmbH, test report no. 5481035/1).

HOW SOURCING WORKS
Goods ship directly from Supreme's facility in India to your destination country in Europe. This bypasses Dutch warehousing, lowers landed cost, and shortens lead times. Recent updates to EU-India trade terms have further reduced the landed cost of polyethylene imports.
Order sizes are flexible. Sun Enterprises handles all European-facing commercial, technical, and logistical coordination from Almere.

What exactly is Silpaulin XF?
Silpaulin XF is a multi-layer cross-laminated polyethylene film manufactured by Supreme Industries in India, developed in technical collaboration with Rasmussen Polymer Development AG in Switzerland. How is it different from standard tarpaulin or knitted HDPE fabrics?

It is also fully waterproof, UV-stabilised, and 100% recyclable, which is a meaningful advantage under EU sustainability regulation.
What weights and finishes are available?
Silpaulin XF is available from 70 to 300 GSM, in a range of colours, with optional heat-sealed joints and ultrasonically welded eyelets. Custom dimensions, GSM, and colourways can be produced to your specification.
- Thickness: Films made in 30, 35, 45, 70, 90, 100, 120, 150, 200, 250 and 300 GSM.
- Sizes: Film made in 4ft to 9ft width can be fabricated to a custom made size as per customer's requirement (Exported cover for football field in 1 piece to Europe),
- Color: Any color, our standard colors are Blue/Yellow, 2 side color film made in 150 & 200 GSM.

Where does the material ship from?
Goods ship directly from Supreme's facility in India to your destination country in Europe. They do not pass through our Dutch warehouse. This reduces landed cost, lowers import duties, and shortens lead times compared with a two-leg shipping route.
What about minimum order quantities and lead times?
Order sizes are flexible, and we work with both established distributors and smaller European brands. Lead times depend on volume, customisation, and the current shipping schedule from Mumbai. Get in touch and we will give you a realistic timeline for your project.
Can I receive samples before committing to an order?
Yes. We send physical samples to your showroom or office so you can assess the material, weight, and finish before placing a first order.
